mein Lebensvorteil – Website for a Disability Assistance Service
An assistance service runs on trust — so it gets a website that feels warm and clear, tells people in 30 seconds whether they qualify for support, and lets them book the first consultation right away.

New website for an assistance service in the Heidekreis region and Hamburg: WordPress with Elementor and a custom plugin with 15 bespoke widgets, a 30-second eligibility check, online booking via Google Calendar and an accessibility toolbar.
mein Lebensvorteil supports adults with disabilities in the Heidekreis region and in Hamburg — with daily structure, leisure, doctor's appointments and dealing with authorities, funded through assistance benefits under German social law (SGB IX). Many people, however, don't know whether they are entitled to this help or how to apply. The old site ran on a purchased theme with third-party widgets, was hard to maintain and didn't guide anyone towards a first consultation. At the same time, the new website had to work for an audience for whom readability and accessibility aren't nice-to-haves but prerequisites — and the team wanted to keep editing texts and images in WordPress themselves.
We first built and refined the design as a Next.js prototype, then turned it into a custom WordPress plugin: 15 Elementor widgets — header, footer, hero slider, services, case examples, eligibility boxes, values, vision, availability, FAQ, contact form and more. Every text, image and link can be edited in the Elementor panel, no Elementor Pro required. The plugin renders the header and footer on every page itself. The core is the 30-second check: four yes/no questions, and you know whether you qualify for free support. If you do, you go straight to booking a 30-minute first consultation. Available slots come live from a Google Calendar via a service account, and clients only ever see "mein Lebensvorteil". If you don't qualify, the check points to concrete alternatives such as your health insurer or a local care support centre. On top of that: all fonts (Lexend, DM Sans, Inter) served locally from the site's own domain with no connection to Google, an accessibility toolbar for contrast, font size and reading aids, an English language version, and one-click setup: the plugin creates pages, menus, templates, images and Elementor colours itself and backs up the old page content first. Everything was signed off on a dedicated staging environment that boots a complete WordPress copy in the browser.

mein Lebensvorteil now has a website that matches its own attitude: on equal footing, easy to read and with a clear path from the first visit to the first consultation. Visitors know within 30 seconds whether they qualify for help and book the appointment directly, without email back-and-forth. The team maintains all content in Elementor themselves, and because no fonts or scripts are loaded from Google, the site stays privacy-friendly.
